Welcome to this Special Edition of The Wychwood.  As we enter our 30th year of  continuous publication, we pay tribute to the dream of our founders back in 1980 and celebrate the success of their initiative.
We take you on a journey through the past and present of the Wychwoods without even leaving your armchair, with recollections and memories of life and how it has changed. We then take a not entirely serious look into the future - what might be in store for us over the next thirty years.

Our features are based on articles from the last 30 years; you can find them all in our online archive. The editorial team has had great fun trawling through every single one of the 174 issues which make up The Wychwood’s history. The voices of the past come through loud and clear, telling their own special stories of life in the Wychwoods, from war and weather, to local characters, special moments, people and places. What a picture they paint of a vibrant community!
