June/July 2013 Milton fete Milton goes down the farm with a special Grand Hobby Horse race open to all. Lots to do for all the family. June/July 2013 The Canals Restoration The restoration of the canals in the Wild Garden is underway. It is initially messy but the result should be worth it. June/July 2013 The Benefice Centre has moved The United Benefice office has now moved to Milton Church Hall. This provides a focal pint for many activities. June/July 2013 Rosetta Palmer 1913 - 2013 Rosetta was born in Hove and lived much of her life in Sussex. She moved to Milton in her later years and was a favourite at the Day Centre. June/July 2013 Jake revives Leafield Fete Jake Acock is the moving force behind the revival of the Leafield Fete after a number of years absent. A great afternoon is promised. June/July 2013 Theresa Elizabeth Dunford 1930 - 2013 Tessa was born in Swansea but grew up in the Wychwoods area. She was an early resident in Greenlands and moved to Witney after it closed. June/July 2013 Change to the Bus Services A new operator will be running the X8A service in conjunction with Stagecoach. Make sure you sue the service when you can. June/July 2013 News from Burford School A visit to the Alternative Technology Centre in Wales was an inspiration for further work. 28 students are planning a DoE hike in July. June/July 2013 Milton-under-Wychwood Allotments and Garden Association At long last spring! Allotments are springing back to life and we all wait for a good summer! June/July 2013 Wychwood Library News The Summer Reading scheme starts in July, the theme is ‘Creepy House’. Look out for Fossil Day. June/July 2013 Burford Festival 2013 The festival runs in early June and includes literary talks, a Heritage Fair and Family Party. June/July 2013 The Swan Inn at Ascott Reopening The new owners of the Swan, Richard and Michiel start the hard work to open the Swan at the end of June. June/July 2013 A Wonderful Spring Term Windrush Valley School finished their Spring Term with their annual Easter performance of Puss in Boots. June/July 2103 Traditional Ceilidh The Ceilidh returns to the New Beaconsfield Hall in October. Plan for a good night out and a ploughman’s supper. June/July 2013
