Milton under Wychwood

Milton will hold a Queen’s Platinum Celebration 2.00-5.00pm Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June. Two days of celebrations are coming together to mark the Queen’s Jubilee.

On Friday, 3rd June, a great day is planned for all the family with fun in the park. A fun fair with rides and stalls, ice cream, games and competitions with prizes to be won. Face painting and hair braiding, children’s tombola.  Party food and treats for the under 11s and for the older children and parents, we have a BBQ with hot dogs and burgers and to cool you down a smoothie stall and a licenced bar. On Saturday, 4th June, the celebrations continue with a nostalgic afternoon of the Queen’s 70-year reign, with craft stalls, workshops and clubs full with memorable village life along with some great displays. The evening finishes off with a Barn Dance and Hog Roast. A great country and western band The Chilton Hillbillies dancing till 11.00pm. Licenced bar and great food. Shipton under Wychwood

On Sunday, 5th June, Shipton will host a High Tea and Party in the Park in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Beginning at 4.00pm there will be music, dancing, pin the Crown on the Queen and more. The Shipton WI will be serving cakes/tea and there will be ice cream, a crepe van and Pimms bar for people to purchase treats and refreshments. Bring your own picnic rug or reserve a table and chairs for £5 from clerk@shiptonunderwychwood.org.

Fifield

Fifield will celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with two events. On Thursday, 2nd June, there will be a Beacon Bonfire at Fifield House.  On Sunday, 5th of June, Fifield will host a Jubilee Big Lunch at Fifield House.
