The Rooflight Company supporting our local community

As a local business, we do our best to support our local community. Our Managing Director, Steve Webber, is taking part in the Twin Town Challenge (29th April to 1st May 2022).  He will be part of a team of local businesses, who will be driving a £500 car from Witney to Le Touquet in France to raise funds in aid of SpecialEffect, a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of physically disabled people right across the world through the innovative use of technology.

Two years ago, the decision was made to transition to Employee Ownership – a natural next step to move the business into the hands of all those employees who had helped nurture and grow the Rooflight Company. We were proudly crowned Employer of the Year at the West Oxfordshire Awards (WOBAs) in 2020 for the second time in recognition of the whole team working together and supporting each other, which has never been more important than during the last 18 months.

The Rooflight Company has been manufacturing high quality heritage and contemporary rooflights since 1993, headquartered in the Shipton-under-Wychwood Business Centre with an additional production facility in Bourton-on-the-Water. The company was originally built around the production of the original Conservation Rooflight, a replica of the cast iron Victorian rooflights.

Since then, the Rooflight Company has continued to design and innovate heritage and contemporary rooflights, for flat and pitched roofs, with stunning aesthetics, high performance, and exceptional energy efficiency which, through constant evolution, meet current building standards satisfying Conservation officers, English Heritage and National Trust requirements.

We are always looking to recruit locally. We actively share employment opportunities on our website –
