Who cares?

Foster families do an amazing job!  These foster parents, some of whom live here in the Wychwoods, often look after their own children in addition to their foster children.  While fostering can bring immense satisfaction to all those involved, it can be hugely challenging, so who cares?

The Oxfordshire Foster Care Association does.  This voluntary body, run solely by foster carers, seeks to support foster families, both adults and children in many different ways. How about a visit to the pantomime? Or a family ticket to a football match?  Need a bike maybe, or a laptop?  The OFCA can help in these material ways and also by sharing information between families with the aim of smoothing the whole process between Social Services and the foster carer ensuring that both adults and children get the best out of the experience.  Children are our future – all of them.

The OFCA needs more resources to maximise the effect of this essential role.  If you feel you could support the Association in any way, please contact media@ofca.info  In this way you can share in the Association’s enthusiasm for the task; thank you for considering this opportunity. www.ofca.info
