Shipton parish council news

Unfortunately, the pandemic has put paid to our plans for the Annual Parish Meeting again this year. Ordinarily this is where you are all invited to the New Beaconsfield Hall where you can hear about what’s been happening in the village and what the plans are for the forthcoming year. We even offer up a glass of wine and portions of cheese. Sadly, not this year though – that’ll have to wait till April 2022!

In the meantime, the parish council will shortly be producing its next online newsletter which will contain various pieces of useful local news and information. If you wish to receive this (as well as future newsletters and communications) but are not yet opted-in to receive them, then please drop a line to Lisa Wilkinson at

With the impending easing of lockdown restrictions there are plans to mobilise the Shipton Volunteers again. There will be plenty of things to address, from the annual litter pick, tidying the churchyard or village green, to helping in the Wild Garden etc.  They typically meet a couple of mornings each month and anyone is welcome to come along as little or as often as you can manage.  If you fancy getting involved then you can contact Carole Arnold at She’ll be delighted to hear from you.
