The Lady Reade Educational Foundation was founded by Dame Harriet Reade of Shipton Court before her death in 1811. It provides grants to students pursuing further education who live in the historic parish of Shipton to help with the costs of books and materials.
In 2020, the Lady Reade Educational Foundation, now administered by St. Mary’s Church, Shipton, awarded 12 grants to students planning to attend university or college this year. We are now seeking applicants for grants in 2021.
If you are leaving school in 2021 and intending to go to university or college, and you live in Milton, Shipton, Bruern, Lyneham, Leafield or Ramsden, you may be eligible for a grant. To apply, please contact Victoria Martin, the charity secretary, at email@example.com by 7 May 2021, providing your name, address, and subject along with the university or college where you intend to study.
