This has been a challenging time for all of us but the girls have continued to meet face to face and online. The leaders have put in a lot of hard work, with the safety of our members our first priority and had to ‘up their game’ with challenges of technology and adapting activities for online meetings.
Wychwood Rainbows completed activities both outside and on-line with the aid of craft packs and badges handed to parents. One memorable activity outside was completing a map, burying treasure and then following the map to find the hidden treasure.
Wychwood Brownies had weekly packs made by Annie with amazing video instructions. A professional entertainer, Jelly Kelly, entertained and they learnt to make friendship bracelets.
Wychwood Guides have met online and also enjoyed walks, outdoor crafts, camp fires and painting poppy stones for Remembrance. We met for a lovely walk with hot chocolate from Dashwoods. You should have seen our pizza in a mug!
Extra adult support in all our units is always needed.-
●Volunteering at weekly meetings with our young members
● Supporting us to complete unit accounts and to administer Gift Aid
● Using your skills or interests to help us with specific badges or activities (online or face to face).
If you are able to help in any way, you can either register your interest at www.girlguiding.co.uk or speak to us direct.
