Sharing, learning and playing at Ascott Preschool

The children are having a wonderful time being back at preschool. We had eleven new starters this term who have all settled in brilliantly. We have enjoyed lots of Harvest activities and everybody brought in foodbank donations.  We share breakfast at preschool once a week and have been talking a lot about where our food comes from.

Can you help? Minibus needed for Forest School sessions. Some children have started Forest School, getting suitably muddy at the Bruern site we use. The minibus from the Ace Centre is longer be available as of March 2021, so we are seeking an alternative on Wednesdays to transport around ten children and three adults. Please do get in touch with Pauline Plant if you can help – see contact below.

Making plans for a cheerful Christmas at Ascott Preschool  We have exciting plans for Yuletide celebrations. Father Christmas is booked in to visit one night and leave a gift for every child by a ‘chimney’ at Preschool. We will be learning lots of festive songs and performing these as a Christmas ‘show’ that we will film for parents to watch at home. We will be selling Christmas craft packs and raffle tickets (as a registered charity, fundraising plays an essential role in enabling us to purchase equipment and toys).

Places available for children aged 2.5 – 4 Preschool runs at Tiddy Hall during term time from Monday to Friday.  Visit www.ascottpreschool.co.uk or contact Pauline ascott_pp@btinternet.com) or 832671.
