Cold Snow and Warm Hearts
The snow arrived, and I hope by the time you are reading this, it went again. It brought chaos but also some good things came from our period of being ‘snowed in’. How lovely it was to walk around the villages, meeting and greeting friends and acquaintances and having the time to stop for a chat. We are all very grateful to have local shops who served us all so well; friendly, cheerful staff made sure that shelves were stocked to keep us going with much more than just the bare essentials. Let’s continue to support them even when we can hop in the car to the supermarket.

The appalling winter of 1947 was followed by a lovely summer, so fingers crossed that we get the ‘barbecue weather’ we were promised last year by the Meteorological Office, which failed to materialise. It looks as if we have another action-packed summer to look forward to, with summer fetes, jazz club nights, another Wychwood Players performance, gardens open and much, much more - just flick through our pages to see some of the delights on offer.
