Wychwood bowls club

Wychwood Bowls ClubSince its formation Wychwood Bowling Club has been a small friendly club run and managed by its members. We wish to encourage new bowlers, particularly families and those who have never bowled before.
The Club celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2013. Since then membership has fluctuated over the years from between 20 to 50, and currently the club has 24 members.
The original home was the site now occupied by Tothill and was moved to the current location adjacent to the Shaven Crown in 1947. Through the generosity of the owner of the site, who is only charging a pepper-corn rent, the club has been able to remain financially viable.

Roll Up and Have a Go
We wish to invite anybody of any age to come and have a go or just have a chat. To play, you will need a pair of flat soled shoes, trainers would do, and the club will supply the bowls and give you some tuition.
We do not play in any league, but do play friendly matches against other local clubs, where results or standard of play are of no importance; the games are just for our enjoyment.
The club opens in late April/early May (weather dependent), and members have rollups (practice) every Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
The club is situated to the right of the Shaven Crown car park, so do look in, or alternatively telephone:-
