Clothing in lockdown

Those people who were perhaps exercising for the first time in a long time had to puzzle over what to wear.  Three examples come to mind, each of varying suitability or appeal.  One walker was seen clad head-to-toe in a white ski suit, topped off with shades, with memories of Val d’Isere clearly in mind.  One elderly jogger had really dived down to the bottom of his clothes’ drawer, emerging with an orange shell suit and sweat-streaked headband.  And one cyclist presented a wonderful array of mixed messages: this middle aged man rode a teenager’s bike, knees akimbo, a baseball cap in place of a helmet, a brand new fluorescent jacket, face-covering shades and a cigarette dangling from his upper lip.   It takes all sorts to make a world.
