Lockdown – a view from the Paddocks

eunice02Eunice Austin, a resident at the Paddocks extra care home in Milton, reflects on the lockdown.

Am I bored being in lockdown?  NO.  Of course I miss socialising here in the Paddocks.  Not being able to have our normal activities, going out to do a bit of shopping or whatever.  The Friday coffee morning at the Baptist church is what I miss the most.  On the plus side, there’s my knitting keeps me going and the T.V..  Then there’s my iPad, my mobile phone and the landline to keep in touch with my family (Kathy, Bren and Luke have been wonderful!) and friends.

The beautiful view from my window looking over the village green makes me very content and happy with my lot.

For those who are bored, find a new hobby or interest – you never know what you can do until you try.  With the good Lord’s help we will all come out stronger on the other side.  Keep smiling.  Be happy.  We’re all in the same boat.  Remember the song, Always look on the bright side.  Thank you so much to my family and the friends who do shopping for me.
