Fun in Fifield

The Swinging Sixties – a Flower Power Evening.
The Fifield and Idbury Summer Dinner in the gardens of Fifield House is a much anticipated annual event. This year the date is Saturday 16 June and the theme is the Swinging Sixties, the Flower Power era and this year’s organisers, Lynne Henderson, Rosemary Alexander, Lucy Maitland Smith and Caroline Beale, promise an extravaganza of fun and “did we really wear those clothes?” evening. The menu will be Sixties, the décor will be Sixties and so everyone is invited to dress Flower Power – if they dare. Tickets at £22.50 a head to include canapes, a glass of Prosecco and a two-course dinner. There will be a pay bar and the big Summer Fund Raising Raffle (with some superb prizes) will be drawn. World Food Supper Club – Rosie Darwall-Smith’s World Food Supper Club has really taken off.
The 11 July date is going to be extra-special because not only will there be good food and good company, but an Air Ambulance representative plans to come to receive, in person, the proceeds from the Supper Club evenings held during the past year. Book early

Congratulations to Amy Schlee and her co-workers on their enterprise in holding a bric-a-brac cum jumble sale event in the Parish Hall on Saturday 7 April and raising well over £200 for the Friends of St John the Baptist, Fifield.
