Book review

The art of hearing heartbeats‘ by Jan-Philipp Sendker

When Julia Win’s father disappeared from life in New York she and her mother had no idea where he might be. Finding a love letter took Julia on a journey of discovery to the land of his birth, Burma. The story that unfolds is unimaginable, gripping and completely absorbing. Yes, it is a love story but it is so much more and, like all those I know who have read it, you will not be able to put it down.

The author was born in Germany and now lives in Berlin. This is his English language debut. Do read it; I am sure you will not be disappointed.
