Local business gets a kick start

PCS logoHaving played cricket for Shipton CC in the early 1990s, I have always liked the Wychwood area, so was delighted a few years ago when the opportunity arose for my family and I to move to Milton and settle into the Wychwood way of life.
In October 2014 I set up my own business, PCS Ltd, and wanting to keep the business local, based it on Groves Industrial Estate. My team is made up of people who have lived in the Wychwoods for many years and who are all as excited as I am to grow the business and make it a success.

Training for a safer future
So, you may be asking what do PCS do? Well, we are an independent company providing training for firms and groups involved in the emergency response, security and defence sectors.
The last 2 years have been exciting for PCS, with us becoming the training partner for the National Firefighter Training College in Portugal, our end goal being to improve firefighter skills and community safety.
In the UK, over these last couple of years, we have been responsible for training programmes involving close to 1500 candidates trained in the security, medical and emergency responder sectors.
Recently we have carried out training in surveillance skills for a national retail chain, plus First Aid At Work refresher training for the security team of a high profile internationally recognised businessman, so we have quite a varied business portfolio!
Our aim for 2017 is to support local businesses and local community members, looking to develop their personal skills in order to enhance their career prospects. This might be by running an Emergency First Aid At Work course through to developing a bespoke course just to suit the needs of a business; we have not come across a company that we haven’t been able to help as yet!

… and back in the Wychwoods …
Locally we are the proud sponsors of the Wychwood Under 10s football team; for them, PCS means pass, control and SHOOT!
PCS believes that training is more than just a classroom activity, so all of our courses tend to have practical sessions which make the training realistic to properly prepare you in the event of an issue in real life!
We are also happy to come and talk to local groups about First Aid training and how beneficial it can be to the whole family as well as businesses alike. So if you would like to know a bit more about what PCS can do for you then please do not hesitate to contact us at janepotter@pcs-ddd.co.uk
